Has anyone mounted a trunk on the rear of their T sedan, (25 Fordor)? How did you do it? With or without the spare tire mount? If you have one could you post some pictures showing how it was mounted please. Thanks, JP
Hi Jack - We have a trunk mounted at the back of our '27 Fordor. It's about 3" narrower on each side than the fenders and it is curved on the front side of the trunk to almost match the rear body curve on the Fordor. We have the spare tire mounted on a new mount behind the trunk.
I don't have any pictures to post, and where the car is there's not a lot of room to take some, but I'll try.
Basically what we did was fabricate mounting arms or brackets. I bought a pair of Model A rear bumper brackets and used them as a guide to make our brackets. They go way forward and attach on the frame and are plenty strong. We've gone on lots of National club tours with the trunk mounted on the car and it has never sagged.

Jack I have a rack, and trunk that my buddy used on his 26-7 4 dr when he went to Alaska and back his son got the car upon his death, boy sold car didn't want the rack and trunk, so I have it, it has a canvas cover over the trunk w/slow tractor emblem mounted on the rear. It can be bought but its too big to ship except via truck danuser88@ktis.net
John: Thanks, but I have a trunk that I can use. I just not sure how to mount it or if it will look acceptable. JP
Here are some pics of period adv showing the offering back then for trunks on Fords.
