On Thanksgiving Day 1996, Anja and I participated in the annual St Louis Holiday Parade. It was the first event we had been in with the T since buying it a month or so earlier. We didn't do the parade this year, despite the great weather, but I was looking through the photos in the online edition of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. This is a great photo of Sam and Cindy Atkinson in the parade. (As I mentioned in another thread, Sam is the one who taught me how to drive a Model T.)

Dick,
We sure missed you. Hope you two are doing better.

Steven, in hindsight, if I had realized how warm and pleasant it was going to be yesterday, I might have tried to find someone who would have enjoyed riding in the parade. It would have been too tiring for Anja and they're not as much fun by myself.
We went over to Elisabeth and Pete's house around mid-afternoon and had a quiet Thanksgiving dinner with the four of us, plus the twins and a friend of Elisabeth and Pete's who is staying with them. As always this time of year, I remember my grandfather's pronouncement on holiday meals: "A little bit too much is just about right."
