I recently received a Model T Ford Manual (Question and answer format) as a gift. The examples I have found on line to compare it to indicates it is a 1914 version, however, one of the photos in the manual shows the foot pedals and they have vertical ribs on them which were exclusive to 1915 cars. So how can that be a 14 manual? Any ideas?
Thanks
Don
Fiscal years.
Either that or you have one of those rare editions written in Canadian. They used those pedals for a lot longer.
Thanks. I think the Fiscal year explanation makes a lot of sense. My car was built in March of 1915 which would fall in the Aug1 thru Jul 31 1914 fiscal year. The manual would have been issued with any future innovations and improvements incorporated in it.
From my original September 1921 Canadian Owners Manual, Overseas Edition.

It wouldn't surprise me if you have a Victor Page book. They used early photos very late into T production.
Donald, if you have the front page as posted by John Page, it will show the publication date at the bottom. This may mean there will be older plates with previous details, but there can't be later details which came in after the printing date.
Hope this helps.
