I need a 21 split rim . Anyone know who may have one for sale ? I have 2 30 inch rims I can trade , one with a 30x3 1/2 tire. I am located in Northern Virginia.

Can anyone help.

You are making tempting offers. If it wasn't for the freight costs both ways across the 48 I could be interested, and I don't really have a 21 inch rim to spare. Unless you want one for a Buick?

Are the Buicks and Chevrolets' the same? I have two with tires. The Ford wood wheels were drilled for the valve stem and the one lug is notched for mounting. Both wheels are very round with two air holding tires. May keep one tire so it matches my double spare. troop

No. The Chevrolet wood wheel like you show uses rims similar to 21 inch T wood rims. The Jaxon steel wheels used a plain rim with a single locking catch that hooks onto a lug to keep from slipping around the felly. The lugs are not attached to the rim. Buick (and dozens of other marques) used the smooth rims like the Chevy steel wheels only slightly larger on their wood wheels. I believe (but do not know for certain) that the small Buick rims will fit on most Chevy steel wheels. I had a set of those Jaxon wheels on the gray race car I used to have. I have a 21 inch rim that is too wide to fit onto a Jaxon steel Chevy wheel. It came with a bunch of Buick Master stuff my dad had years ago, but it could actually fit any of dozens of larger cars, including Lincoln.

I do have four Ford 21 inch wood wheel rims. They are supposed to go with the wheels I have in pieces and onto the '25 depot hack project I will probably never work on again. (Too many projects more important to me.) None of the rims are what you would call nice. A little repair work and some minor straightening would make them okay. My main point above, was to point out that Glenn A has a need and is making a good offer to anyone close enough to be really helpful. If he was an hour drive from me, and was desperate enough to want the best of my marginal rims, I would make a trade for a 30 inch tire and rim which I could use. Shipping costs would make it a bad deal for him.

Would Model T Haven or one of the other parts suppliers have a good rim at a reasonable cost? Rim price for a better rim and one way shipping only half way across the land should be a better deal for him.
Drive carefully, and enjoy, W2

Thanks to every one . I have received 4 e -mails
offering to sell a 21 inch rim. Think I may go that route. Some one prior to 1966 had changed the wheels and rims from 30 inch to 21 inch split rims.
The T was in storage from 66 to June of this year.
Got it running last month but with the tires haven't drove it . Just brought 4 new Lucas tires and rims.
The next thing on the list is to figure out how to use the rim spreader.
This is my first T and I am learning a lot . My T is a 24 roadster .
Thanks again and God Bless
Glenn
