Dean:
With all that equipment, all you need is ignition coils to test the difference in readings between the different equipment!!!
Do you have the 110vac input for the eectt tester?
Can you let us know if some instruments say a ignition coil is "good" and others say the same ignition coil is "bad", or do all instruments agree on every ignition coil???
Looks like a belt with suspenders and a few zip-ties for good measure.
Be_Zero_Be
Yes I have the test stand and AC adaptor.
Also fixed up a coil box for a 6 / 12 volt car simulator.
Just need more points.
Are those MTFCA vcr tapes leaning agin the hcct Dean? They might be blank if they're left there too long!
The ECCT is gonna relegate our hcct's to being nothing more that wall art! I suppose this time of year though they're good for winter weight ...
Garnet
Arnie, If my coils start saying things and agreeing, I am selling the T.
Can you get those MTFCA tapes in Betamax?
I think there is room fore all the different testers. I just ordered a Strobo Spark. The ECCT is a Bata test unit. They all have their advantages.
P.S. I will report my findings when my testing is complete.
Dean Yoder
Garnet, Yes MTFCA coil tapes
Royce:
I know of a guy overseas who will sell you a set of MTFCA videos on LaserDisc....... just have to accept his terms. LOL
Doug:
Yes, Doug, listen to your coils!
They can tell you something! If one does not "buzz" it is telling you something. I think you want them all to agree and "buzz" one at a time in the correct sequence.
That should be music to your ears. So if your coils are singing, please do not sell your Model T, but enjoy the ride and song!
Arnie
Dean:
That first picture only had one ignition coil, so I thought you were short on coils. Your next picture shows enough coils that it looks like you are going in the business of making Model T Fords!
You mentioned that you are purchasing a Strobo -spark tester. What is that item in the center of your first picture--it looked like a strobo spark tester to me???
Arnie,
There is a borrowed Strobo Spark in the first Picture.
