Well, look who's selling it. A dealer, Beverly Hills Motor Cars. They probably deal mainly in the high end classic cars to high end buyers and don't have a clue what a Model T is worth. The paint doesn't look like either shade of 26-27 greens. It does say it has a three speed transmission, so maybe it has a Warford. Then again, maybe they are so dumb that they are counting reverse as a speed.

$10,000 for the car and $12,000 for the bombay taxi horn! :-)

Hah!

Heck, if I could get that out of mine, I'd sell it and go buy a couple of late model roadsters.

Early sales propaganda called Reverse a speed, making the typical planetary a 3 speed.

It doesn't even have bumpers and wire wheels! This must be an all original unrestored Doctor's Coupe in mint condition with only one owner who was a doctor!

I don't want to sell mine either, but I will not take the trouble of listing it for some way-out price.

When I become dictator I will round up all the lame brains that call them Dr's coupes so Marshall Daubt can kick their asses.

Running a distributor too which probably means it has a bad magneto.

It's only worth what a buyer is willing to pay, so the asking price means nothing.

Aaron Griffey - You've got my vote for dictator! How soon can you take office? Once you are wearing the mantle of power, I'll help you round up all those lame brains for an immediate state-sanctioned execution!

As Stan Howe once pointed out to me, "Doctor's Coupe" is a regional colloquialism that was used quite often in certain regions. I pointed out that my mother in 1929 had a 27 coupe and she was a school teacher in a rural one room school, so that made her car a "Teacher's Coupe".

An old Ford man I know always liked roadsters, he said,"Coupes are for chickens".
He also thinks cars with heaters are for chickens.
Another of his sayings,"When the top goes down the price goes up".
I would hate to have to ride to work with him everyday. I like a heater and the top up with windows on a cold day.
