Can anyone help me find a Boyce Moto Meter Lite that is placed on the cowl of the car, with green and red jewels on each side and clear jewel in front so that the light projects out to the motometer on the radiator--I have seen several that have sold this year, but I did not find out about them until it was too late. Please help, this is the final significant piece I need to complete my restoration of my grandfather's 1919 faultless racer.
The only lights that I am aware of lights the Motometer from the front. It would be interesting to see one that sent a beam of light from the cowl to the Motometer. If you have a photo it might help jog someones mind.
I was going to comment that someone else was looking for one of those some time back. Then I realized it was you. There was some discussion about the item at that time. I had not been aware of that Boyce light before. I have seen several of the ones Mark G mentions. I still haven't seen one of the ones you are looking for.. I do hope, if you get one, that you will post some good photos of it here. Can you post a link to the previous discussion? I have never been very successful at locating such things.

Can't find the earlier discussion, but here's another type of Boyce Moto-Meter accessory light that Jay has posted twice: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/118802/128288.html

Is this the light you are looking for?
I found this photo on the net, but not sure if this is a rad cap or cowl light.

This is the one, with removable acorn on top--nickel plated
That is the best photo of one of those I have seen yet. Now if I could just find one.
Thank you, Art.
