I just replaced my front wheel bearings with the Timkens set. After cleaning up the old bearings the name stamped on them was also Timkens. Did Timkens make bearings for a '27 or have these been replaced along the way?
Thx in advance.

Ford used Timkens starting in 1919.

Thanks R.V. One race had a "20" stamped on it, would that be a date?

Maybe, but I doubt it. More likely a part or size number, but won't swear to that either.

Thanks for posting this and the other thread -- I was about to ask some of the same questions, and then some.

Seems there's a little bearing play with the front wheels on my '20 T, and the car's running Hayes wire wheels. Is that play normal? Also, do Hayes wire wheels use the same bearings/races?
