I often record the auctions on tv and FF through 95% of the mostly ho hum stuff. Mecum is mostly sixties to eighties high production cars, with a few streetrods and one or two hotrods (flathead).
Thursday's auction, which showed Sat, had a shiny red 1926 T Fordor. It was among the few cars I saw that hit the reserve. This one sold for $9K, and to my surprise: the winner was fellow Long Beach Club member, Sergio, with a big smile.
Right after that a stock '31 Victoria sold for about twice that amount.

Ricks,I can see Sergio's smile in your words....
Where was the Mecum Auction? There is another Mecum auction in Kissimmee, Fl. soon. Seen it in Hemming's.
Anaheim, near Disneyland. Next one is in two weeks in KC.
I was at a swap meet today, here in Florida, and someone said the Mechum Auction in Kissimmee is sold out. Not accepting any more cars. WOW
I think the auction market for all but maybe upper end cars is crashing. Read between the lines at Mecum and the other auctions. Seems like most of the cars are not meeting reserve, so if you have a collector car, you shoulda' sold last year or earlier.
That does not apply to brass Ts, esp 1912 and older.
