Check carefully for cracks in the fan blades. Les
It doesn't matter, as long as it's hanging on the wall. Unless you're driving less than 5mph for more than 5 minutes, you don't need a fan, and at greater speeds, it will just hold you back.
The fan from the ol' brass picup has been on the wall for several years. Learned it from Tom Carnegie, who has some Model T experience.

As Les pointed out carefully check the blades for cracks.

The Model A guys have had so many hoods wrecked by flying blades that standard advice is to use a plastic fan unless you are building a showcar. But I agree with Ricks, you only need a fan on a T when you are stationary. Wouldn't be surprised if same applies to an A; I'll try it when I get mine back on the road

If there are no cracks by all means install the fan or if there are cracks buy a new one. If you like to drive in parades, or if you have long traffic signals or get stuck in traffic, the car will boil without a fan. If you only drive in the country without any steep hills and can keep moving at least 25 mph, you don't need a fan. Otherwise it is good to have one.
