After reading the post on foam filling of tires I decided to give it a try for the idler tires on my Snow Bird project. I went to the shop where I've been doing business with for 20 years and checked with them. I was quoted to repair the two tires that I was having trouble with(the other 4 were ok)it would cost $150.00 to do the foam. I'm going to try this being there the idler wheels and will not carry any of the car weight. I also checked on having two more ( these are all old "hard" Sears Riverside ones) mounted with new tubes and the quoit was $25.00 each and I provide the tire, tube and rim and $16.00 to fix a flat. These are 30x3.5 demountable I feel that this isn't that bad after fighting with a few over the years.(I'm not getting any younger)
I'll see how this will work(sorry for the 4 letter word). The weight of the foam tire is 50lb. each,I know that air filled tire are less.

Bob
