Does anyone have a source for replacement mirrors for gas lamps or a place where I can get my mirrors resilvered?. The metal replacements just don't cut it!
The place that made new ones went out of business about 1 1/2 years ago. If you find someone who can resilver them, please post info. Thanks.

Bill Atwood owner (and he's a car guy).
Uvira has a process to put a glass covered polished aluminum coating on headlight reflectors. They will stay in good condition for years (perhaps decades). Much better than silver plating. Email Bill Atwood first, it's better than trying to call him I'm told.
He means re-silvering glass reflectors, not silver plating.
If you live in or near a major metropolitan area, look in the yellow pages for mirror re-silvering or do a Google search.
These folks did the mirrors on my Brown 16s. For best results, you will need to get the glass polished after they strip the old silver and before they re-do it. As I recall, they have to send them out for this.

Ditto what R.V. says. I had the mirrors on my J.B. Model 16's done and they looked the same when I got them back as when I sent them out. The glass needs to be polished. There is apparently some kind of erosion that takes place. Putting on a new coat of silver just amplifies that imperfection again.
This company offers glass headlamp mirrors and resilvering services. Check out their catalog. They also have repro E & J lamps. I have not done business with them. Can anyone recommend them?

In http://www.brassauto.com/cars8.html their online catalog, the new, concave mirrors are priced at around $100. That seems to be very reasonable. I don't think you could polish and re-silver an original mirror that cheap.
I have two extra headlight mirrors, not 100% sure what they fit I've heard 09-12 T who knows...? . But will listen to an offer.
