Kerry, I am tiring to keep in the fiscal year as the cut off date is the end of August but we are finding early blocks with later numbers so I can not cut them out so I settled on Oct?Nov.
its the best I can come up with...
David each book I look at gives a different cut off date so I am working on the world standard Veteran car club year. Ray
Dear Ray, yeah, I know about the fiscal date cut off thing. It has been a pain for years.
Years ago I used the publicised dates such as 1st June etc., then broke it down into months, production days etc. and then calculated an Excel spreadsheet for the data. The table is able to give both a start and end of month production figure.
I appreciate I have made a number of assumptions, I had too, but my model does work for our calendar year 1/1/xx to 31/12/xx format instead of the ridiculous, unworkable US fiscal year rubbish.
I have C44982, casting date 9 18 15

For the purposes of our register I have called C55000 as the cut off date, but again, I stand to be corrected.
Due to the First World War, only a few cars were imported into New Zealand in 1916, 1917 and 1918. Imports began again in earnest in 1919 and 1920, but a recession in 1921 meant virtually no imports at all for a time and there is a huge gap in the numbers between C280000 and C320000 where we have just the one example. On vintage car rallys I have attended there has always been a dearth of 1921 vehicles because of this, not just Fords, but right across the spectrum of motoring.
Rod, I would be interested in what numbers you do have for those war years of 1916-17-18, post or PM if you like. Thanks.
Hi Kerry, why not put them up here so other may get off their hands and add some more and we will end up with a full record of whats left, I have 25 plus 1916 and 20 1917 numbers on my lists so start the thread.
Hey there David, here is a question that needs a answer, out side of Dane why have the Victorians not even tired to help with their numbers, why not give them a phone call... Ray
Hi Kerry, if we really want to get the history recorded for Canadian produced engines/cars, then perhaps a thread for each year could be produced for all the "C" engines produced right through to C750000 where they cut out. That would be a huge job for all contributors, but it would surely get the history into perspective.
Wow, I don;t look for as couple of days and it goes wild! Anybody can raise a thread, give me a couple of days and I will set up a few more. I have received no negative comments on my annual cutoff dates and will do the same for each year. Off to work now...back shortly.

PS - I will remove the 1916 numbers when I separate the page out for 1916.
David, my calender book based on a calendar year tells me that 1915 was C26397 to C46560 with a overlap of 4000 units which could have been spare blocks and used for non vehicle jobs, 1916 was C51749 to C98647 which some one here will show me that I was wrong and but I did not print this book and it has been in use for as many years as I can remember... Ray
