A Ebay vendor, 5 Barn Auto, is selling enough water pumps on Ebay that Royce could start a collection big enough to rival the MTFCA museum.

Does anybody know anything about this seller? He used to sell under a different name - or at least I think so. They both were in Carbondale, IL - I think. He gives practically no description and has bunches and bunches of stuff. Where did he come from and where did he get all this stuff? Is he a poster/lurker here?

Fred, I'm not sure if the two sellers are one and the same. I have bought from both of them in Carbondale. The seller using the earlier Ebay handle sold me a bunch of parts and I was never disappointed, in fact I made so very good buys from him.

I counted 1200 auto related items listed by this seller. I'd say who ever it is must have Carpal tunnel syndrome from pounding on the keyboard 24/7 listing all that stuff!

He's legit. Lives a few miles from my brother. I have bought some nice stuff from him

I've bought a number of T pieces from him over the past 6 months or so. He's a nice guy and ships promptly. Changed his Tbay moniker recently but is the same fellow. I've been pleased with his service.

Sounds good, but where did he get all this stuff. He just appeared out of no where a while back.

Fred, you may have noticed him "only a while back", but he has been selling on Ebay for two or three years, at the minimum. I have bought from him numerous times in that period. I never asked him how he happened to have so much T stuff (that isn't my business), but he seems to know his stuff pretty well, and only a very few times has he advertised something as being T when it actually was A. I assume this was his personal lifetime collection and I don't know how much more he has, but if what I have seen him advertise, is the tip of an iceberg, then he's probably got as much stuff as Mark (Model T Haven) in Kansas and we'll be seeing him advertise for years to come.

IS it the same person? I have bought numerous items from him under the previous moniker and considered him to be among the best of eBayers. I often bid more with him than I would most other sellers. One item I bought recently began the listing under the old name and finished under the new name. It caught my attention but did not worry me due to the past history. Since then, I have noticed some change in his listings and response to a question. Also almost everything used to have shipping of some sort offered. Recently I have seen several items offered as "free local pick-up" "only" offered, including a T block I would like to get but will not drive 4000 miles for. His attitude has changed. I hope he (the old he) is alright.
Drive carefully, and enjoy the holidays! W2

Maybe he just doesn't want to crate or ship heavy or large parts. I think it was earlier this year that he advertised a complete, running, original county fair type speedster with some rare speed equipment. It was local pickup, too.

Not everything in local pick up, I see a transmission with shipping offered:
