Managed to start my 15T yesterday after some major "in car" engine work.
New valves, seats, pistons & bearing clearances. Was a devil to start as cranking was much harder than before the work. Started after about the 20th crank....but boy does she run! Quiet, no knocks, no smoke and STRONG! Started easily the second time.
If i can do it, I guess most anybody can (with the help of this forum)!
Thanks to all who replied to my post asking advice on piston clearances, valves, bearings and such. Would have been much harder without the help of the great guys on this forum!!
A great Christmas present to myself!
Merry Christmas to all .......

There's nothing like the first time you get it started following major work, Schuh! Have fun!!
Yep, it's always nice when you put something back together and it works the way it's supposed to. Kind of a mixture of pleasure and relief.
That's a great milestone, Schuh. Have a great time with you "new" toy!
Congratulations!
Congrats Schuh! Happy Motoring!
