I keep getting the following error message when trying to use the "key word search" feature on the web site tool bar. I'm running windows Vista. not sure if its 16 or 32 bit. Any idea what I need to do to fix this?

Chester and Don,

Recommend you try limiting the size of your search. When I just tested it typing in “Search Problems” it gave me an error. But when I selected “and” so it searched for all rather than either word it came back with 164 results. And when I further limit it to 2012 forum – it comes back with only 29 results.

Another thing that works well is to use Google (or similar search engine) and type “MTFCA forum Search Problems” which will give you about 32,700 results. And if you search on how to use Google there are lots of tips on that. Also see: http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/179374/227413.html?1312179854

And one of our members gave us an alternative search – but I do not know where I filed that one.

Respectfully submitted,

Hap l9l5 cut off

Go to google and enter the following:

crankshaft site:www.mtfca.com

substitute whatever you want to search for in place of "crankshaft"

I find Google much easier and faster too. The format I use to find Champion X plugs, for example, is

search mtfca: Champion X

Gee... I learn something new. These methods seem to work pretty good.

I just used google to find an old thread.
It was in the top 4 results.
webmasters using even the most up-to-date software still recommend google for site searches.
There's a real good reason for that.
Google outperforms....... :-)
