The Electronically Cranked Coil Tester (ECCT) beta testing continues but has slowed due to the arrival of winter making road performance testing more difficult. Anyone in warmer parts of the US interested in volunteering as ECCT Beta tester is invited to contact me at mictel@comcast.net
Beta test objectives include; testing coils, aligning coils and conducting road performance testing to determine effectiveness of ECCT adjusted coils compared with properly adjusted coils using an HCCT.
A good example of type of ECCT beta testing and reporting desired can be reviewed at: http://www.modeltecct.com/Beta_Test_News.html
Forgot to mention ECCT Beta testing doesn't have to be an individual activity, I think it could be a great club activity.
Mike, Garrett and some of the OC club members plan on doing some testing of your ECCT soon, maybe after the holiday season rush. He gave a demonstration at an evening workshop to show how much more accurate you can tune the coil using your ECCT.
I believe more people will find interest if it shows that performance is improved using coils set up on the ECCT.
It certainly looks promising!
Glad to learn of the OC Model T club plans to join in with ECCT test and evaluation.
Also pleased to report several other individuals and clubs have volunteered their considerable expertise in evaluating the ECCT; some even in cold regions which really underscores their dedication to the hobby.
Thanks to all who have expressed interest, encouragement and those volunteering in ECCT beta testing.
