Now,
Bring up Google Earth and put in Davis Monthan AFB. Tucson, AZ (copy/paste the words)

You can also bring up Virtual Earth http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?v=2&cp=47.552544~-122.294664&style=o&lvl=2 &scene=3698796
(now known as Bing Maps)
(and) also put in Davis Monthan AFB. Tucson, AZ

Scroll down and look immediately to the east of the runways to see the bone yard.

When I was there and getting out of the service in 1955 they had a crane fitted with a large guillotine and were cutting up C-46's,C-47's,B-29's,B-50's and all types of fighters for scrap. It was a SAC base then with B-47's ,B-52's and B-36's. How times have changed OH lets see that was 57 years ago. How time flies when you'r having fun.

Drove by there a couple years ago. It's huge. The ex-wife refused to spend the time to see much of it. I just might have to check it out while I'm on my way down to tombstone from Phoenix in January.

In the early 70's when I was a Snow Bird I spent a lot of time near there in the Flying Tiger Lounge. There was at least part of a P40? fighter on the roof IIRC.
