I wonder what brand of car it is?
This could have been close to the 1909 race.

I believe it is a 1909ish Brush automobile. Note the hood handle up high (the entire hood come off.). Chain drive, runabout, left hand steering (while RHD was more common back then) etc.

I am (almost) more struck by the look on the driver than I am the car.

This is a man who is in complete control of his environment at the time this pic was taken.

Steely-eyed and confidant. This is the guy who always got the girl. A Douglas Fairbanks kind of guy.

Whatever he's in involved in, he will do it to the best of his abilities.
