Ronnie
You will get more bang for your buck than almost any other fix for an old Model T by getting your coils rebuilt. Trouble may persist, but the most common one will be addressed and you can move onto the others and rule the coils out.
There are several folks who can accomplish this repair for you.
Ron the Coilman

Ronnie, I have never had good luck with fixing the plastic ones, they are alright for the hit miss engine boys but when they are in a T on Mag they do not perform well. The best thing you could do is take Ron's advise, spend the money for a fresh rebuilt set with the correct capacitor and forget about it.

Congratulations, Dick and Anja!

Was the selected date related to the longest night of the year? Those are really long nights that far north.

Thanks, Ralph. No, although I had a friend in Holland whose anniversary was the 21st and he did claim that they had chosen it because it was the longest night of the year.

Under other health circumstances, we might have done something more elaborate, but I did give her a gift involving a ruby, and we had a nice meal here at home - menu at her request. Because of extended family complications (children and children-in-law with other obligations as well), we are celebrating Christmas at our daughter and son-in-law's house tomorrow with all three kids, all three spouses and all four grandchildren. Christmas Day itself will be pretty low-key, but also with daughter and her family.

I asked Anja this morning if she thought that, after forty years, the marriage was going to last. We decided that it probably would... :-)

Way to go Gordon, Dick, and Ronnie. What a great day all the way around. Tomorrow is the anniversary of my last day of active duty.

Ronnie, you're definitely turning into a Model T mechanic.

Ronnie, Ron won't tell you this, but I will. Send your coils to him. You won't regret it. VOE.
