I already mentioned this in the "Found my miss" thread, but thought I would start a new thread for it.
Forty years ago today, at the town hall in Nieuw-Vennep, the Netherlands, Anja Vogel and I decided to join our lives together. What a journey it has been! We have three children - all married - and four grandchildren. I have learned through the years that Anja is not only a great wife and mother, but also the best damn Model T tour navigator ever! I have been truly blessed.
The last year or so hasn't been exactly what we would have chosen, but we continue to have fun. That's what we're here for, right?
Dick,
Congratulations to both of you!
Paul
Dick,
Congratulations, and many more years of great touring ahead,
Rob
Congrats Dick, I hope you two have many more happy years together.

Congratulations Dick!!! In 15 you'll catch Vonnie and me..."n you'll do it!
Congratulations Dick. I'm sure not an expert on the subject of marriage. I wish Anja and you spend many, many more together.
You are on the ultimate tour, Dick. Heartfelt congrats from Carol and I.
And might I add, you have a beautiful bride, sir.
Wonderful! Again, congratulations to you both, and many more.
Good Lord Young Dick...
We can all tell from this post that you're still in love! How wonderful, and thanks for sharing.
Best wishes,
John Stokes
What a handsome couple! Congratulations!
Congratulations to you both!
Congratulations. We have been married for nearly 28. We are best friends and do everything together. Some tell me that would drive them crazy if they spent that much time with their spouse. I can only feel sorry for them. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Congratulations Dick and a toast to many more ahead.
For Denise and I it'll be 25 years tomorrow, Christmas Eve. Like Hal and spouse, we're best friends and do everything together. Our move to Ecuador in 2013 is intended for us to be able to spend even more time together without the interruption of jobs. We're truly blessed.
Hi, Dick -- Thanks for sharing the good news. Congratulations to you both. Anja still has the same lovely smile she had on her wedding day. I wish you both good fortune in the years ahead.
(p.s. -- I see John Regan let you borrow his hat for the occasion.)
Congratulations Dick and Anja!
There is a purpose to every day of our lives and reading your own posts show how very much you and Anja are still so very much a team in a totally natural way.

Congratulations! We will enjoy 55 January 11. I can truly say that if a couple can stay together for 10 years, they can usually stay "until death do us part". It actually gets easier and the love grows deeper the longer a marriage lasts.
Norm
Norm - My Dad's been gone now for 17 years, but my Mom's still "plugg'n away at age 95. I can remember Dad at their 50th wedding anniversary celebration, saying,...."in 50 years of marriage, I can honestly say that I never even once considered divorce,.......murder several times,......but NEVER divorce!"
I e-mailed Anja a link to this thread so she could also read the messages from everyone. She responded with, "Ik wil niet vervelend zijn, maar wij zijn niet in Nieuw-Vennep getrouwd, maar in in Heiloo!" ("I don't want to be annoying, but we weren't married in Nieuw-Vennep, but in Heiloo.")
She is, of course, quite right. We didn't move to Nieuw-Vennep until three years later. Heiloo is where Anja grew up, where her parents lived, and where we were married. The photo was taken at the end of her parent's driveway in Heiloo.
I have no idea why I said Nieuw-Vennep in the start of this thread... (well, except for the aging brain, I suppose).
Dick : Of was dat de eerste keer !!!!!!!
Hey how about a pic of you two today?
