What would you list as a most interesting thread for 2012?

Some of my ideas are:

1)Constantine's trip to Moscow
2)Opening of the new Model T Museum
3)Claton's Salt Flat adventure
4)Rob's K progress
5)Stan's Birthday

Cool Idea. Are we voting? 'Cause your #1 would be mine too.

Lots of volunteer work went into that ...

This is the MTFCA Forum ... :-)

I'll be voting, it really hard to do, but I think will vote for #1 #3 #4 & #2. And I'm sticking with it.

Bob

PS Good trend Dennis.

I vote for #1, and I want a sequel where he drive around the world (someone else is doing that, but not like Constantine, they are doing it with an SUV following all the way) I like some one who works with out a net.

I agree, #1 really jumps out for me.

the most interesting were Constantine's wild ride, Clayton's speedster and a couple of other speedster threads.
I read about the K some and almost nothing of the museum.
Do you really think Stan's birthday thread was as good as the political threads for the whole year?
You gotta seriously look at the whole forum since 2011 to ask a question like that. There were some good threads.

I just listed some ideas and didn't really think of having people vote. I thought others would list their ideas of the years best thread.

Got to be #1. A super accomplishment, and it was my former car to boot!

Yeah, Constantine beats the hell out of me having a birthday. I vote for him all the way.

My vote is with #1 followed by any of Robs car pictures! I love to see the REAL old cars and the unrestored originals always catch my eye too.

I don't think a longer list is necessary. In fact, I don't think the list needed to extend past #1. What an incredible journey Constantine made, and we all are very fortunate that he shared it with us.

#1!!!!!!

All good threads and worthy of mention, but watching Constantine's epic journey unfold right here was the best thread on any of the several forum's I'm a member of.

I tried to figure out where the T came from that was pictured with Constantine's in the pictures in Russia.
I could never find any mention of it in the text.

Well I guess I was lurking but there was one thread that I thought got more attention then others that involved a 14 year old boy from MO. And I apologize if I shook the tree a little too hard but that one sure as heck had everyone wound up. I really liked Constantine's trip. Clayton's trip to the salt was fun. Stan's birthday was fun but then as long as you don't shake Stan's tree too hard he's a pretty good guy. I was really impressed with the fact I got to meet Rob's K in person at Kingston and take some photo's. Not too many people had that opportunity. But I'd suggest if you get somewhere that the big blue car is parked you'll see a very impressive sight. I want to meet Mack at the Model T museum to give him a Model B Briggs and Stratton Engine and then tour the museum. One of my favorite things about my time on here was staying on here and getting to know people and forming a lot of respect for them. I got to know and respect some really great people, Sheldon, Rob, Constantine, Ronnie, Stan, Danial, Aaron, a couple Bobs and Mike's, but a special shoutout to Mike Grotesman. Oh my gosh, there's no way I can forget Bart, oops I mean Art, Gus and Jim and there's no way I could ever forget Steve Jelf. Ex Trooper, sometimes you seem to have a split personality, Clayton you're young but your future is going to be something else. It'll be fun to watch you as time goes by. And I know I'm forgetting a heck of a bunch of great guys and I apologize. Progress getting to know you guys and find a place on the forum has definitely been interesting and I'm looking forward to next year. Oh yeah and someday I'm going to meet Herm The Babbitt Master. I want to go to his shop and ask a thousand questions and then go see those two idiot's shop that's on the History Channel. Andy Loso, Lance Sorenson, Erik Hylen and all you lurkers from GNMTC such a great bunch of guys. It's been quite a year. Thank you all. And the best story without a doubt was Constantines trip to Moscow.

I vote for Constantine as well! For one, he's an Aussie and I think I had a bit to do with teaching him how to drive! Thankyou all for a fantastic years entertainment and answers to such a wide range of issues. I hope I have at some stage been of some assistance to someone here as you have all been to me. All the best for 2013!

#3, #1

I like the real world type stories followed by the wealth of knowledge provided by the forum. #3 and #1 would never have happened (?) with out it!

I think even tho it probably wouldn't win the Ford 1908 story should be included. It has international appeal and reveals a rare item.

For me the most interesting thread on the Forum if you considering EVERY thread was the OT thread about other hobbies that Model T hobbiest have.
Its nice to know we have wide interests and a lot of them are the same as me.
Must be a generation thing for us boomers!
BUT a very close 2nd would be ALL of the information about Model T's and the help others can give is really great.

John has a good point, the best part of this forum is the fact that one can come here with a question about their car, and have several answers with in a few hours. I have had to ask very few questions, because most have already been asked, and the search function will take you to the past related threads.
Thanks all
Gus

1)Constantine's trip to Moscow

There was no #2

For me the best threads are the helpful ones. You guys know who you are.

Someone will post that they need information or a question starting with "how do I..." and there is always an answer.

Obviously, my husband takes care of my T. He shares information with me so I know what's happening. Then one day I read a thread on here about that very lesson he gave me and I get it! Well, sometime.

Yes, Constantine's trip to Moscow was awesome so I hope he posts about the trip to the Ukraine and Holland. Also the museum gets my vote.

I am afraid a few threads got a little too vitriolic this past year (both off and on topic). Between that and server issues, a few good people have not come back. Frankly, I think it is their loss if they aren't at least lurking and reading because there have been a lot of really good things on this site this past year. And there are quite a few new people that I look forward to reading from. I won't name names because I know I would leave out something important.
It would be a tough call for me. Constantine? Rob's K? What have you done on your T today? Hobbies? I am not sure.
One thing I am sure about. It is time again to say "Thank you Chris"! I don't know how you put up with us. But I am glad you do.
Maybe I should say it on another thread?
HAPPY NEW YEAR! W2
