I'm seeking advice on how to install the rubber channel gasket around the solid windows when installing new glass in a 26 coupe. Because the gasket is formed as a channel, it buckles on square corners. Should it be cut and mitered at the corners or perhaps just snip and miter the buckle to leave the rim of the gasket continuous on the edge if the glass? Does it matter where I start the gasket; i.e., at a corner or mid-length somewhere?

On my 24 coupe which has the rounded corners in the rear window I also found out it was hard to make the corner even and smooth.
I had to carefully make one corner miter and use that one as sort of a pattern for the others.
I think I finally cut the rubber into 4 individual pieces and fit the corners as smooth and round as I could.
If there was a vendor that made the window rubber gasket with rounded smooth corners it would help but at least some do make some type of rubber channel thats usable.
