Ballbearing fan hub croaked. Dad put on back in 97/98. Guess they don't last forever on a driver.
Being currently in the ranks of the un-employed, 60 to 100bucks is just not for me now. Pulled hup, threw it into a 350deg oven (currently a bach.) for 30mins. pulled it out and tapped them out. Will check the local bearing places tomorrow AM.

George, let me know what the bearing number is. I may have some old, devalued stock here. If I do, they're yours.

George- I too make little moany, in fact i have yet to put a fan belt on my T for several years because i dont want to buy one. and because it has never over heated without a fan!

not to mention its fun when people say "hey your missing your fan belt!" and i reply " yep im missing the fan too!"

Danial thanks KYK R-10
I've driven w/o belts too. This flat tube rad. runs so cool, I have a 160deg thermostat on order, it was cheap.
That's what happens when you meet Steve in person, you get infected by thriftusitis jelfis.

George, the KYK is a decent Japanese made inch-type ball bearing.

I won't be back to work until Thursday so I hope you can wait that long for an answer but I think I'll be able to accommodate your needs.

Does the fan take one or two bearings?

If nothing else, using the #'s on the bearings and possibly some quick measurements I'll bet you'll find exact replacements. Very often things that need bearings are designed around what bearings are available. It's cheaper. Case in point: late 80's Toyota (I believe) fan belt tensioner pulley. New? just under a C note. We pressed the bad bearing out, nothing to lose, and looked for a replacement. You won't believe it but it was the same bearing that was used in Chrysler alternators in the 60's. D something or other. Don't recall the #.

George, one of my coworkers just called from the shop so I had him check on these. We have them. Looks like you need a pair?

Send me your address and I'll get them out on Thursday to you.
