Wayne Sheldon:
You asked about the Fern Lake Fire outside of Estes Park. According to the News Paper the Rocky Mountain National Park Service has announced that the Fire is still smoldering. It is not spreading but the under brush is so thick due to Beetle Kill and years since the last fire in that area that the fire is still burning. In fact some claim that it may still be smoldering in the spring. At least there is no smoke in Estes now.
Thank you Dave! I have been wondering. Some of that type of fire can do that for a long time.
Do drive carefully, and have a Happy New Year! W2
