I am test fitting some body parts on my 15 touring and I think I might be missing a part for the hood. The hood cowl that wraps the wooden firewall (upside down U shape)has a hole in it to support the rear of the hood. Is there suppose to be a bracket attached to the firwall to support this bar or was the cowl ment to do all the work? If I am missing a bracket does anyone have a photo of it so I know what to look for and where to mount it? Also, any thoughts on how to repair the hole in the cowl? mine is very wallowed out.
Thanks,
Mike Snyder

Mike there should also be a hole in the firewall for the radiator support rod. This helps to align the hood also. Your wallowed out hole should be 3/8 for the hood top rod to fit into. You can weld a washer the correct size onto the back of hood former and fix that.
