I purchase a "flip top" jack that looks similar to the picture in the 1925 and later parts book for part # 2343 except for the "flip top" on top.
I cannot completely read the stamping on the side of the jack. It lookes like ....DPL'S PUMP & TUBE CO. It is rusty so I may have some of the letters incorrectly stated and it looks like there are some other letters before the "DPL".
Does anyone know what the complete name would be on this jack and who made it?
Thanks,
Arnie
First two letters should be IN ,for Indianapolis Pump and Tube Co.
Jack:
Does this mean that the jack is not correct for a Model T Ford?
The construction of this jack is similar to the Walker Mfg. brand of jack.
Did Walker Mfg. and Indp's Pump and Tube Company have any working relationship?
Thanks,
Arnie
That's a good question which I'm afraid I can't answer. The abbreviation on your jack was a common one for Indy. I've seen it before so I replied.
