Greetings to all, I am trying to install a dash panel for the ignition switch on my '20 runabout and am have a bit of a time in doing so. The car was a starter car originally, but somewhere down the line the dash was taken out and I am now trying to put it back. Could someone offer some assistance in the manner of a photograph, or two of how it should look when installed? Thank you in advance for any help or information.
Respectfully,
Joe Mazor
Joe, I don't have picture capabilities ,but the dash went over the top lip of the cowl, and attached to the two rear bolts holding the windshield supports on. Some(if not all ) also had a 1/4 machine bolt, with a square nut behind dash, just about the upper middle of dash. This kept it from rattling. HTH.
Thanks for the post, it has helped, but if anyone could post a picture that would help ease my doubting mind about how it looks. Thanks again.

1919-22 open cars with electrical equipment had a rectangular instrument panel board which mounted up behind the cowl belt at the top. The 1922 non-starter cars also used this panel with a blanking plate in the spot otherwise occupied by the ammeter.
Use your imagination here; this vehicle has no windshield brackets.
With the restyling of the windshield for 1923-5, the instrument panel board had kicked up ends and mounted over the lip on the cowl.
