hello, james here again, about ready to roll the T out of the shop, but the radiator has a few small leaks. What is the best way to fix this? modern day stopleak? or pepper, or snuff? i have heard of all three. If black pepper or snuff, how much should i put in?

If the radiator has several leaks then you need to recore or replace it. Stop leak type fixes are temporary and might get you home once but that is all they are going to do for you. Permanent fixes are going to involve replacement of the defective rotten part.

If purchasing a NEW radiator is likely - DON'T DELAY if you want a BRASSWORKS radiator since they just announced a very large increase in price for BLACK era radiators. Even if you don't buy it from Fun Projects, Inc. - don't delay your order if indeed a new one is in the near future.

Hello James - I don't know which radiator your T takes, but I just returned a 17-23 Low Radiator to Brassworks Apr 24, so at least the company has one in stock.

I have just repaired my brass radiator from my 15 T.
It had a leak from the top neck that is soldered to the top tank.
As the neck is cast, the bottom of the tank is brass & the back side of the tank is copper it was quite a challenge.
The way I did it was to use a 300Watt electric soldering iron & pre heated the cast neck with a gas torch first.
