hi folks,
Ive seen sidelights (electric)mounted on the front wings of several 25/26 T's. Were these an accessory as I cant see them listed in any of the parts lists
Regards
Noel, Those are mostly from Canadian production and very hard to find. Some folks have reproduction brackets for them that are difficult to find also. Jack Grischel(sp) from Ohio had some at the Covered Bridge tour.
I think 1926 was the last year of non starter sales and I believe the brackets are listed in the 1926 parts book.
Noel,
Thanks to Don Lang for sharing the following picture from the Canadian Accessories price list of the Canadian ELECTRIC side cowl lamp. Note it was designed to mount on the sindshield post of the closed car or the cowl of the open car.
So far I have not seen any ELECTRIC side lamps listed in the Ford price lists for the USA cars. If someone else has a USA price list or USA Ford accessory listing with electric side or cowl lamps, please let us know.
There were numerous after market versions available from Western Auto and similar sources.
Fred -- you are correct the oil side lamps were still offered in early 1926 for the USA cars not equipped with electric starters.

Folks,
Many thanks for replies. The lamps that I have seen are kinda bullet shaped, ie almost pointed at the rear, similar to those on many Austins but slightly bigger. I will try to get a pic & post it.
Noel,Those are the ones I've seen too.
