My next step now is to time the valves with the new Stipe 280 camshaft. I'm told exhaust and intake valves are set at the same lash, at .010. Do both valves (intake and exhaust)for each piston get timed at the same time, during the compression stroke at TDC?

Also, these new valves will definitely need to be ground down. I'm guessing I'll need to grind off at least .187 (3/16") to get them to work with my tappets. Does that sound "in the ballpark", or is that too much or not enough?

Thanks, Bob

You'll need to shorten the intake valves, with the two-wrench lifters Lang's sells, you shouldn't have to touch the exhausts. Set them all at 0.010".
