These are the rear hubs on my '19 Touring which someone way in the past left small drum but converted to 21" Demountables. In the left picture the hub is normal as far as I can tell but in the right picture it looks as if the hub was put in a lathe and made conical towards the top. Can anyone possibly figure out why someone did this in the past. It makes no sense to me. Thanks...Michael Pawelek

I have seen several this way. Probably just a manufacturing difference.
