The Touring is loaded up, Friday rush hour has begun, and we are going to hit the road and head south for Glen Rose, Texas. Over 20 T's; 65 people and anticipation of a great time. . . I'll be back with photos on Sunday.

Kathy
That tour sounds good. You must be with one of the Dallas/Fort Worth clubs as I did not hear about this one. I make some tours with the Austin club and the Houston club.
Look foward to the photo's.
E-mail me if you guys have an E-mail notification system for future tours.
Thanks

It's taken a couple of days to recover and download the photos, but here we go. . . the tour was from Dallas to Glen Rose (in Texas). By the highway - 85 miles; our tour to get there 118 miles. Estimated time - 8 hours; actual time - 9 hours 30 minutes; with a 45 minute delay for an accident to clear and then another 45 minutes due to a breakdown and subsequent loading onto the vulture wagon.

Here's some shots from the roads on Friday and Saturday. Major kudos to our tour chairpersons for finding great T roads.

The Glen Hotel was our host hotel for the weekend. It was originally built in 1928 - and recently refurbished with antique furniture and updated plumbing. . . but no extras! The rooms were extremely small, the bathrooms smaller, but the majority of our group found it very quaint. There was a large "common" room that had a large screen TV for evening viewing and a lovely front porch and balcony where a large group congregated in the mornings and evenings.

Then there was the wildflowers, the windmill farm and the quick snooze on the running board!

What a great weekend!
