We are getting close on the 25 roadster I've been helping a friend with. I'm wondering about folding the top. It has new repro top irons.

The top material is fastened to the rear bow with common sense fasteners, should these be loosened when folding the top?
The front bow unclips from the middle bow, it looks like it could clip into some tabs with holes that are lower down on the rear bow when folded, is this correct?

On the windsheild seal the seal between the glass is shaped like an h. Does this seal go on the top or bottom glass and does the flap go to the inside or outside?

Lastly, we will be towing on an open trailer. The rear window section of the top can be rolled up. Has anyone towed with this open and the top up? My feeling is the top should be lowered for towing.
Thanks for any info you can provide, Jim

1. I don't know the answer to your first question, but it probably will become obvious when you start folding the top.
2. Yes, you move the front bow down to the lower tabs to stack it.
3. The rubber goes on the bottom glass with the upper leg to the inside.
4. It's best to tow the car with the top down. I've tried towing mine with the top up and side curtains on, but it takes a beating that way. The top is too fragile to tow the car with it up.

Mike.

James, Lower the ends of the front bow and snp them into those ears. Then, just flop the top down. No need to undo the gypsy wing fasteners.

I always haul Ts with the top down and the bows secured. I just can't belive that the top is up to the buffeting on a trailer at highway speeds.

Thanks Mike and Eric. Eric we hope to see you at the all T reunion next weekend. I got the top finished and we put the fenders and box on today, then took it for it's first spin with the new body. Still have a few items to wrap up like headlights and taillights but she's running good like it did last year.

Here it is heading out for another test run!

I'd like to thank everyone on this forum for the questions asked and answered. I've gotten a lot of help here in the last 2 years, we couldn't have gotten this done without all your help. Thank you again, Jim
