Because I have big feet & shoes I was thinking about installing the 26/27 pedals & shafts on my 1916 car. The foot plate is wider & has an edge which would help. Is it compatable, are there problems or modifications which would be required? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I am nearing replacing the bands with Kevlar so that would be a good time to make the change. Thanks for your ideas on the problem

You don't need new pedals, just more practice.

In my MG TD, I had to push the clutch before the brake. If I pushed the brake first, my left shoe could not get past the right shoe to push the clutch. I learned to do it instinctively.

For backing up, it's better to pull the lever into neutral, then you can operate one pedal at a time. The two pedal two-step is asking for trouble.

To me, never wear kevlar is not worth wearing out the drums.
