I’m going to help a widow sell her late husbands 1925 touring. She said, “I’m asking $13,000 because I know what we paid for it so I just came up with that number.” I haven’t seen it yet, but I doubt it is worth $13,000. She told me over the phone that it appears to be in ‘good’ condition by her interpretation; they had it for 15 years; he passed away a year ago so it has not been on the road since. As with any "value", it's going to depend on condition and correctness. The $13k seems high unless it has a lot going for it. But, you never know. All it takes is two people that want it.

$13,000 is pretty much top dollar for a black era Touring. At $13,000, it should be at least 95% correct and fully restored. The paint, top and upholstery should have no defects and be in near new condition. The motor and transmission should be documented as having recently been professionally rebuilt by a reputable builder. the tires should be like new, with no weather checking and the spokes should be very tight original or respoked. The radiator should be new or at least recored. Deduct for the cost of bringing any of these items up to snuff.
