Duh, it is a black and white picture, what did you expect ? Well actually sepia, but anyway they are all dark no matter what color they actually were. The Ford in the front of the picture is a 1913 or 1914 and so could be either black, green, red, or blue. But it would look black due to the chemicals and method of film processing. I would guess the caption to have been written in 1914 when they were all black no matter what color you wanted them.

The newspaper advertisement said "FREE FORD AT THE CORNER OF ELM ST. AND PINE AVE." When I got there I found 135 of 'em.

Makes you wonder how often people drove home with the wrong car.

Reminds me of the story of the retired lady in Florida coming out of a mall and finding four gang banga's in her car. She pulled her gun out of her purse and ordered them out. After they fled, she found her key didn't fit - her car was a few rows away.

When she arrived at the station to report it to the police, the four gang bangas were there, trying to convince the police they had been carjacked by a little old lady.

It's funny to see the radiator script at such a jaunty angle. I thought it was always horizontal when Ford used it on the radiator core. (An observation, not a caption).

I would think that anyone with a photo program would be able to place a picture in it and look for a button that says TEXT. You should be able to add words to picture. Be sure to choose a color that you can see on the part of the picture where you place the words.

If you have never done it before you will have to do some experimenting.

Thanks Thomas,
This gives me an opportunity to pass along info. that others may not know of.
I have taken your picture and cloned out your words.

I was able to do this with a program called “Jasc Paint Shop Pro 7”. I got mine on eBay by just searching for Jasc. You can buy the item for around $8 to $12. You will see other numbered products. But a #7 or an #8 will do and won’t cost you as much as a newer version that may or may not be more sophisticated.

I use just two of the items that came with the program, the Paint Shop Pro 7 and the Animation Shop 3. You can do different things with each item.
