The Question is, wich way do you turn the key and starter lever if the battery if dead?

The key turns to the left I think - which ever way causes the coils to buzz on the 1925 touring - but which way should the 'lever' turn? bat was to the right and I couldn't make out the 3 letters on the left. It looked more like 'gag' then 'mag'. The car has not been started in over 14 months. I tried cranking it and heared a split second of hope sound, but wasn't sure if I had the key right. I'll try another day. Thanks in advance. Bob Poane

Lever is lights, vertical is lights off. Right and left are high and low beam (on dash)Right should be battery, left mag on key. charge your battery and check right on KEY, see if the coils buzz If not try left. if no buzz ether way some thing else is wrong. If you have buzz try starting with the spark lever all the way up ( left lever on column)and the throttle at three or four o'clock ( right lever on column). If you have fuel, only pop the choke for an instant while starting. Usually one turn counter clockwise, from a light seat( all the way down) with your main jet is close Good luck!!
