What years were the round large disc used? Also, i have one set of flat sided disc that has one inner disc that is about .125 thick. anyone know why such a thick disc? Thanks, Bob

The thick,your 0.125 disc was used prior to the three thin washers in the tranny.

The thick disc was used as a spacer to place the remaining discs away from the disc drum. In post 16 transmissions, there were bosses cast into the brake drum that performed the same function.
