I recently purchased a top wood kit for my 24 Fordor,in inspecting it one of the top bows (number two) has two holes drilled through it on both sides, since i have nothing to compare does anyone know what they are for,the two center bows have holes in them for the dome light board.
And what is the name of the company in North Carolina that makes wood kits,i lost it,they made this kit from Snyders and it has no instructions. Thanks
Rick

Here's some pictures of the Mac's kit on my 27 Tudor, it also came with NO instructions.
I hope this will help a bit.

All wood is attached in place with stainless wood screws and glue. To get at the wood and instal the screws (from below) it is necessary to remove some of the upholstery.
My car had a solid plywood top in it.

So I was starting "from scratch" to get it "close" to original as well.

My 26 tudor has an L bracket on each end of one or two bows that hold it to the side rail. Maybe your top was meant to have them also? Or maybe someone added them to mine at some point.

Though I've only seen one wood kit, the Mac's kit I bought was a work of art! Mac's was the supplier not the manufacturer, I've forgotten who actually made it.
My top bows are rounded on the ends and fit in machined areas of the side rails. The minor filing I had to do to make all the parts match perfectly is almost not worth mentioning
The 4 door top may need more reenforcement, (thus the "L" brackets), since it has more bows and slats.
I gave some thought to putting in a dome light bracket like the 4 door kit has but passed on the idea.
Dennis.
