I removed, cleaned and varnished a set of good spokes, then replaced them in the wheel. I noticed after tightening the hub bolts, the spokes look to me like they are bulging out to the hubcap side - just ever so slightly - not a lot, just slightly - is this right, or do they need to be perfectly straight? I really didnt pay that much attention to the wheel before I took them out.

Had this problem with a NOS wheel (no hub) I put on the back right side of my '17. In my case, removing the hub and putting it in the other way cured the problem. If the wheel is slighty "dished" I would think it's preferable that the felloe be "out" from the hub rather than "in". In my case, the wheel may be slightly dished but not as pronounced as it was the first time.

Mine is only off by less than 1/8th of an inch - If you run a straigth edge across the front face of the felloe at the or near the edge, the space between the edge of the felloe and the spoke is about 1/4 inch. Near the hub end of the spokes before you get up on the flat, it is greater than 1/8th - Only slight dishing really.
