I need to change a rubber stem tire tube to a metal stem version with hardware.
I have access to modern tire changing spoons and tools.
What equipment is needed and what is involved with changing a 1917 Ford Model T Touring with 1919 demountable wheels (wooded spokes).
I don't think modern equipment will work as good as the old. I use two Ford TT tire irons, and a big rubber mallet. I usually wear some old heavy boon dockers I had in the Navy for jumping on the tire to break it loose from the rim. It's really not hard to do especially if you've done it before.
Harbor Freight has some tire spoons that look like they should do the trick.

You'll need two of 'em.
