Living in the NW corner of Oregon this past week has been very interesting. One mile from the Pacific, and four miles from the Columbia river. Sunday night and Monday was hundred to hundred twenty mile an hour winds just about continuously. Monday was no electric, no phone or cell phone, no gas for your generator or car, no 911, no email, and no way out!! hi way 26, 30, and 101 were closed for one reason or another. You could call to a few numbers inside your town but no where else.

I was luckier then most with gas heat, hot water, dryer, range, a 5K generator and above water!!

Friends Bob Frink, who lives in Washington across the Columbia, and Michael Seager who lives in Vernonia, with bad flooding were simply out of reach.

I had lots of time to think about how wonderful a T is. It runs on poor fuel, (we had none except what you could siphon), It will run or start with a dead battery, it will cross water cars will not cross now with low ground clearance, and other positive things Henry thought of way back when. I think If an emergency had come up needing transportation The eighty five year old T would have been my choice.

No doubt about that Paul. I'm glad you are back and that things are returning to normal up your way. We know too much about wind and water around here to not appreciate what you and your neighbors have gone through.

Seth
