Where does the Carb rod anti-rattler part # 4594
go on a 26/27 Touring with a NH Carb?
Thanks

I believe 4594 is a little rubber donut that goes in the dash. It is a donut with a groove around the outside. You put the mixture adjustment rod through the donut from inside the car, shove the rod on through to the engine compartment, then squeeze the donut into the dash. It insulates the mixture adjustment/choke rod from the dash board and if you install it correctly it will give some "drag" on the mixture adjustment rod so that it won't change while you are driving.
Actually if the nut that holds the mixture needle in place on the carb is functioning properly it will hold the adjustment in place. 4594 is just an anti rattler. It's commonly known as a panel grommet.

That carb rod anti-rattler #4594 was used in the hole on the firewall that the carb rod goes through. There is one more that goes under the head of the carburetor adj.rod #4590. I just put these parts on 1926 coupe I am restoring.
