I'm Editor and Vice President of the Model T Ford Club of Victoria here in Australia and am embarking on what may end up being a mammoth task.
I've decided that in our Centenery Year, that I'd like to create a photo library of as many photo's of Model T Fords as possible. This library, would be available internationally to all enthusiasts. Currently we have to visit each individual Club's website, if they have one, to view their photo gallery.
The photo's I'm seeking can be either current or period photo's of T's, preferably those still in existence, doesn't matter if they are restored, unrestored or works in progress. A description of the year and style would accompany the photo/s and location by state/country only would be nice, but not compulsory. Apart from being a great place to peruse and get inspiration, I figured the library would also be a great reference tool for comparing styles and a guide for the restorer as well as a progressive list of how many cars still exist.
Is anyone interested in sending me photo's?
Images in jpeg format would be preferred, but for those that aren't computer savvy, I could arrange to scan and return non digital photo's if preferred.
I know that there is a wide variety of car styles here in Oz, and can only wonder what lives overseas..
If you are interested, you can comment here, or email me at our club newsletter email address firstname.lastname@example.org
Hi Chris. This site has a great photo gallery of members Model T's by year which you can print out or save to your computer. You can also click onto members profiles, such as mine, in order to find nice pictures of their cars.
Click onto: www.mtfca.com/gallery/index.htm
I assume that no-one will object to me using the photo's if aknowledgement is made.
My goal is to obtain images from as many countries as possible, so the MTFCA gallery is just one source.
We recently posted on the forum some interesting pics from NZ.
Just for my 2 cents worth....
I really appreciate this site very much and all the excellent work and ideas that go into it.......
The gallery here is pretty poor. The quality of the images is low and it is near impossible to pic up any information on the particulars of the car. Good on you Chris...I will send a pic of the 23 Tourer when I can find you a good one...
Keep up the good work its an excellent idea...
Same here Chris. I'm MTFCI so my TT won't be in the gallery anyway.

Also search this forum for "museum" - one in Holland and also in Southern California?
That might help get you started :-) - good luck with it.
For what its worth Chris -
Id like to see a NWVS type site - a picture (or 2) and a description of the car from the owner with any known history.
Thanks for all your input guys, keep it coming. I just decided to do this, because i spend ages trawling the net for images.
Glen, anything is possible... You just have to paint those grey bits first!!
Simon, feel free to send them my way too.
Hi again everyone,
To those 30+ of you that have already forwarded me material, thankyou so much. The responses have been very encouraging.
I will pick up all your emails tonight when i get home from work and am getting someone to empty the mailbox so it doesn't get too full right now.
There will be some lag time as i finish planning and develop the format, but each and everyone of you that emails me, will get a personal invitation to see the results when they are ready.
I've had a few questions around privacy.
Basically, I'm happy to display whatver info you'd like to provide. I will not be keeping your email addresses in my address book to ensure that your details remain private, but will retain them for future mail.
Most suggestions have been:
-A before shot and after resto (or current condition if not restored)
-A little bit of history (if you like)
-Who owns it (your name)
-Where the car is now (just suburb or town and country. US residents please note, I'm not that good at your abbreviations for states, so fully typed would be great!)
-Yes speedsters are welcome, so are commercials.
-An engine number (if you like, helps to build a history of whats still around)
Any other suggestions are most welcome.
Again, thanks for the warm response,
Hi again everyone,
I'm still chasing more photo's particularly of earlier cars and a few winter shots (snow) would be great if anyone can oblige.
I now have images from the US, England, France, Canada and Australia but am a long way short of representing all the production years and body styles. The challenge is on..
Chris, a keyword search for snow in this forum will show threads with photos of cars in snow.
