Now that i have the engine out of my 1919 Touring I've found it has cast pistons. I want to go with new Alum pistons and use the rods that i have as the babbit is still ok. My question is do i need some sort of rod bushing to go along with the new wrist pins on the Alum pistons ? I find them at Langs for the old style cast pistons.

Bushings are replaceable for the cast pistons but the aluminum will not have bushings.

Be sure to check the fit of the new wrist pins in the new pistons. Even though everything will be new and you will have bought it as a set in a box, people have been having problems with the wrist pins being just a little bit tight fit in the pistons. If you are unsure take them to a local engine rebuild shop and have them help you evaluate the fit. A few "licks" with a pin hone will make everything right. They should just move freely which is probably about .0005" of clearance, but the actual "feel" is probably the best answer for when the fit is right.
I know it is disappointing when something new in box is not quite made right, but such is life
