Can anyone advise me one the difficulty of riveting a different brake drum on its shaft in the transmission? I have one good shaft with a cracked drum and one good drum on a bad shaft.

It's not hard, the rivets are soft and press very easy cold, but you will need a lathe to machine them down to finish the job.
