Don Conrad of the Carbon Canyon Model T club recently picked up this beautiful 1910 Pie Wagon.
His son Mike Conrad, a frequent contributor here was recently seen polishing the brass. Apparently Mike has some new chores!
Good looking ride, the brass demands lots of attention, that's for sure!
Thanks John!
I say I do, the car is a nice restoration. but I would say it's loosely based on a 10' for all the diehards out there. We just got the car and much will be changed to more closely resemble a 10' starting with the wheels and dashboard and windsheild is all wrong. It will get much more brass and early parts that we have collected. For us it will be a driver and we will be touring it in the spring. by the way this is Dads first T and I am so Proud of him!!
Funny side note, my brother was busy polishing the horn after a hour of hard work I didn't have the heart to tell him that cheap repo horn would be replaced soon with the new dash. Hope he won't be to upset as I need him to polish the new horn
WOW! That is nice Mike! Tell your Dad we are ALL proud of him and hope to see your Dad and the pie wagon on a regular basis with about three generations of Conrads represented. (......Grandpa Don needs to teach that energetic little guy of your brothers how to polish brass 'cause I don't forsee "Uncle Mike" doing it!) And I'd drive it just like it is,.....to heck with all those "purists"! All I'd do is add a hood and whatever brass you guys have collected. Nice, nice, nice,........harold

Oops! Got so excited while showing the picture to my wife that I posted twice! Kathy said to tell you it's really, REALLY cute! (.....women always think they're "cute".....)
Harold Thank you. I will pass the complment on to Dad. I know it looks ok now but wait till you see what we have planned. Oh and your wife was talking about the car right? lol
Heck,....I don't know what she' talking about half the time,....ha,ha,.....harold
Very nice!
That is sure a pretty piewagon. I wonder why we don't see more piewagons these days. They are great for hauling and promoting a business.
Vintage Paul
1911 would be better choice to shoot for. The head lights appear to be Model 16 John Browns as used in 1911 model year. The front axle appears to be a post 1918 front unit. What differential does it have and what engine? It may be that the whole chassis is made up of much later units and parts. Who made the body and when? Nice looking, but probably very few original early parts.
Paul, they are like a Corvette: big on the outside, small on the inside. The cargo area is a scant cubic yard. Unless made with lightest weight materials, they are awfully top heavy, and they are real wind catchers.
If you want a good start on one, there's a '27 C-cab pickup for sale in Rossmoor on which you could attach a van box. At $9.5K, I think it's overpriced, however.
