It had a 197cc Villiers two stroke engine which would turn 180 degrees. My Dad's did not have a reverse gear so he could drive it on a motorcycle license. One time my Dad, Mum and my brother were in the front and I was in the back and we went about 50 miles...
It was a chain drive and the main chainwheel kept coming loose until a local blacksmith hot rivited the thing onto the wheel.
