Is it correct that there are seat hinges on the riser to the seat-board which is under the seat cushion of a 1912 Torpedo?

You can see one of the hinges in this photo. But I don't know if that was an owner add on or original to the car.

On the ones I have restored there were no hinges that I am or was aware of. I have seen a boarded up angled set up that fits under the front and sides of the seat to recline the seat to make it more comfortable for a large person but even though it looked correct I do not believe Ford body suppliers mounted any on original cars. ??? I will be interested if someone says different but I am wondering also as I too have a late 10 open torpedo. there were several suppliers maybe? Maybe not for this type of body as there weren't that many made in total I would think. I'll stand back and listen too with you on this. Good Question.

It isn't a seat hinge. It is for the door under the seat. That is the correct hinge for your car.

My ''12 touring has a panel that covers the gas tank and is hinged with 2 hinges that look exactly like yours. My car is an old restoration of an original complete car so I am certain that is correct.
